Transition Instructions

Pets can be sensitive to sudden changes in their diets. For this reason, it is extremely important to follow a gradual transition plan to best support your pet's health and product effectiveness. It is recommended to follow at least a 7-day transition plan before exclusively feeding your pet a new food. Cats will often refuse mixed diets, so we recommend adding the new food to a separate bowl from the old food. Start by mixing 75% of your pet's current diet with 25% of the new diet on Day 1 and Day 2. On Day 3 and Day 4, mix 50% of the current diet with 50% of the new diet. On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the current diet with 75% of the new diet. On Day 7, you can feed your pet the new food exclusively. Ask your Veterinarian about the best way to transition your pet to a new food.

Great product, but cans were very dented!

We've used this product for years, always purchasing from our long-time vet. The cans have always been in good condition, buying them a case at a time. The product is excellent. This time, we purchased two cases from Chewy. Out of the 48 cans, 17 were badly dented -- while the shipping box and cardboard bases (with sides) were not damaged. I would have given this a five-star review, but wanted to highlight the condition of the product upon delivery. We will keep buying the product, but not from Chewy.

My boy is in remission, due to this food and following daily at feeding times are treated as a pill, so it's done on the 12 hours exactly or me 5pm 5am. This was the best choice compared to the other company's, I wanted who I always trusted and been with. I wanted to ensure it's cat food specializes in cat food, Purina food. The other DM foods are dog food based first before ever having a cat food.He was on insulin, and now we only use the food as his medication. I wish anyone going through this be brave and hopeful
Poor information and stressed

The description did not say it was a pate I was very disappointed. I thought it was the pieces in the gravy which my cat loves that is the exact one I purchased from the vet the first time. I do not know why it came in this form. I am having a hard time getting him to eat it and he needs to in order for me to give him his insulin twice a day. I will not be ordering this again. He just got diagnosed a month ago with diabetes and this all is very stressful.

My cats love the shreds, not a huge fan of the pate actually wouldn't eat it. But the wet not a large portion of their food anyway. I give my cats a third of a can of cat food a day each and the rest is dry. Once I found out that they were both pate and shreds available their love in life better.

My 10 year old cat is diabetic and he enjoys eating DM Dietetic Management Pate. The order arrived the day after I placed it, which was excellent since this is the only food my cat can eat and I had ran out of it. Chewy is the best! I highly recommend them.

Great food and appealing taste for the maintenace of Diabetes. My daughters cat was diagnosed as Diabetic in July,August and readily ate this food with no problem. She started on Insulin and her Insulin doseage was decreased in 2 weeks.

I had high hopes that my diabetic kitty would like this wet food. He doesn't care for it but will eventually eat most of it if you leave it out for a couple hours. I sometimes add a little Friskies or other cheaper food to this which gets him to eat it more quickly. I will continue to buy it but it would be nice if he liked it more.
